Really good it addresses everything I ever felt about attending a gym and seeing it in writing makes you feel reassured about your own anxieties.

I really enjoyed reading Jonny’s eBook, it was easy to read and I loved the visual illustrations and facts. For so long I was put off going to the gym because I was self conscious and thought people would judge, Jonny’s book has changed my mindset.

I never thought about exercise in such a positive way and even things like the gym checklist and warm up tips massively help beginners like me who would usually be too embarrassed to ask. He covers everything. Over all I would 100% recommended this book!

I honestly really enjoyed this book!
As someone who suffers with social anxiety, I very much identified with the themes discussed throughout regarding this, including the idea that ‘everyone will be looking at me’.
I’m feeling rather more confident with the information learned here that is not the case, and maybe it’s time to give the “weight area” another go after all after having the idea that it was for ‘proper gym people’ not ‘the likes of me’.

The author’s language use of is friendly, relatable & simple, without being patronizing. As a result, it is legitimately educational.

It would be a great book for anybody with anxiety issues to read before going to the gym, be they newbies or been going for a few years, such as myself for as many times as needed!

Very informative interesting article. Light hearted and funny and good for making people suffering with anxiety think that the gym may not be that scary after all.

  5. Luke

This exercise support book is really well laid out, accessible for all, and very uplifting. It gives the reader a real buzz about pushing towards their training goals, especially for people that may feel apprehensive about their bodies and / or visiting a gym. Well worth a read!

  6. Janice

A very informative and well presented read! Lots of interesting facts and tips on the benefits of exercise, especially to someone who would be thinking of joining a gym this info would give myself more confidence to do so.

I found I identified with quite a few of the points in particular sports/gym during school days, communal changing rooms and showers and the teacher making sure you went through the shower twice! Bullying tactics on the hockey pitch. Belonging to the over 60’s age group and these tactics being common in our age group.

The hardest thing for me would be to actually take the plunge and go to the gym, again as you say I would feel that I wouldn’t know what to do! Having read your book I would definitely be more inclined to give it a go, as it’s so full of encouragement and good advise. Thank you.
